Amazon has announced a fresh investment commitment in India after discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The investment aims to strengthen AI, cloud infrastructure, logistics, and create thousands of employment opportunities over the coming years.

Tenali Explains,

“If a merchant tells you he has invested ₹1,000 crore, would you be impressed?

You would first ask where the money is going.

If all the money is spent on building more warehouses while deliveries remain slow, customers won’t be happier.

If it is spent only on technology while sellers struggle to onboard, growth will still be limited.

But when investments strengthen procurement, logistics, technology, customer service, suppliers, and employees together, the entire business becomes stronger.

That is called Value Chain Analysis.

Amazon isn’t merely investing money.

It is strengthening every activity that creates value for the customer.

Many businesses chase expansion before fixing their value chain.

The wiser businesses first identify which link is weak, strengthen it, and only then scale.

Growth follows naturally when every link in the chain adds value.”
